MELON COLA Albrecht Dürer’s 1514 etching of Melancholia includes a multitude of scientific, geometric and intellectual symbols. Dürer’s angel sits with a look of abandonment and distraction despite the clutter of instruments that provoke engagement and wisdom surrounding her. 21st century’s technological advancements have given us spoils of more, more, more - endless entertainment, global access at the click of a mouse and the ability to do anything at any time.
